There are many great TV series available in July

Every month brings new content to Netflix. There is plenty of it. It doesn’t matter if it’s a new drama TV series that will get people talking or a fresh movie and some true crime thrown in; July looks like it will be a great month on the streaming platform.

Young Royals

Available from 1 July

This one is already our obsession. Prince Wilhelm, a young prince, arrives at a prestigious boarding college and is finally able to discover who he really was. He is suddenly the next in line for the throne, and suddenly he finds himself in a difficult dilemma: love or duty.

Audibletells you the story of Amaree McKenstry (a Maryland High School for Deaf student) and his fellow football players during their senior year. While trying to maintain their winning streak, the team must also deal with the loss of their best friends. This documentary about coming-of-age will definitely tug at the heartstrings.

Elize Matsunaga: Once Upon a Crime

A true-crime documentary is a must-see. Once Upon a Crime looks like it will be equally terrifying and captivating. It is about Elize Matsunaga, who murdered her husband to shock Brazil and the rest of the world. She’s now giving her first interview. Get ready for popcorn!

Virgin River

Available 9 July

Virgin River fans will rejoice to learn that season 3 is returning very soon. It tells the story of Mel, who moves to a new place to become a Midwife. Season three will continue exactly where season 2 left off. Let’s go!

The Water Man

Selma And The Midnight Sky Actor David Oyelowo This movie is starring a great cast, so it’s worth a look. The synopsis says: Gunner embarks on a mission to save his mother from ill-health by seeking out a mythic figure who holds the secret to immortality, called the Water Man.

Jo enlists the assistance of a mysterious local girl, and they travel together to the Wild Horse forest. But the more they explore, the more dangerous the forest becomes. It sounds intriguing, right?

Heist

Available from 14 July

Heist is another documentary series you should add to your collection. This series examines three of the most significant heists in American history. “A 21-year old woman steals millions of dollars in Vegas casino cash.

A father-to-be swindles a fortune at Miami’s airport and uses television shows to help him. Meanwhile, a Kentucky dad is charged with one of the most serious bourbon thefts in history. We cannot wait.

Never Have I Ever

Available 15 July

The second season of this highly-acclaimed drama series is nearly here. Fans can’t wait!

New episodes will feature Devi, played by Maitreyi Rajakrishnan. Devi is a first-generation Indian American teenage girl who has to deal with all the pressures of high school, from family to love and schoolwork.

Bankroll is the story of two unemployed millenniums, who while drunk and blind, upload a video pitch for their revolutionary new app to a crowdfunding website. It soon turns against them, as their idea raises millions of money – and they now have to make the app. Oops!

Outer Banks

Available until 30 July

Are you looking forward to season 2 of Outer Banks! This popular drama for teens was a huge success when it first launched in early 2020. The second season looks just as great.
