Healthpally allude Bedroom Influence on Healthy Sleep

H

Healthy food, exercise and rest are an indivisible combo for a healthy life, especially if you maintain a good lifestyle.

There’s much influence of your bedroom setting on your sleep, therefore, it’s important to make the bedroom neat and organized.

Here are the ways to manage your bedroom space, and make it comfortable for healthy sleep.

How to improve your bedroom settings

Forgo the good old folding bed

It was a hit in the 80’s – by the 90s it was only used as a makeshift solution.

In the meantime, thanks to new hardware technology, fold-down beds or cupboard beds are of such high quality that they can be seen both closed and open.

A great solution, especially in tiny one-room apartments or guest rooms.

Save yourself the bedside table

There is often no sensible space for free-standing bedside tables in small bedrooms.

Your bed headboard can be equipped with integrated shelves – this looks tidier and more spacious than free-standing small furniture.

Don’t skimp on materials and textures

Distraction is everything. Instead of paint or wallpaper, rustic wood paneling can also become an eye-catcher, Techpally boss advised.

If you have decided to go for it, go ahead and do your best: the combination of patterned wallpaper and distinctive headboard is very successful here.

The materials and colors are well-coordinated and create a fixed point for the eye that makes you forget the small size of the room.

Also pay attention to varied textures, here soft, patterned fabrics and the plaid make the rough wooden planks look inviting and harmonious.

Pay attention to the small details

Especially in small bedrooms, every detail is noticeable. Fine bed linen is, therefore, a must (and besides, it is simply a wonderful feeling to lie down in supple fabrics in the evening.

Use built-in closets

In a small bedroom, closets should ideally be floor-to-ceiling and wall-to-wall.

In this way, the furniture itself becomes a surface and optically recedes into the background, which makes the room appear larger, says chaktty.

Smooth, bright surfaces are particularly suitable for the fronts; Recessed grips instead of protruding buttons or handles support the flat effect.

Since you don’t have to allow five cm of space for the handle when the door is open, the wardrobe can be connected directly to the wall without side rails – another few centimeters of space is saved.

Some Tips to Improve your Sleep

1. Switch your smartphone to night mode in the evening: Otherwise, the high proportion of blue light on the displays will inhibit the production of melatonin

2. Avoid screen consumption (mobile phone, TV…) in bed

3. Quiet atmosphere: if you live in a noisy area, close the windows or wear earplugs to help you fall asleep

4. Avoid stimulating activities just before bedtime, such as exercising or exciting movies, if it interferes with your sleep

5. Establish a bedtime ritual: Doing all your bedtime preparations in the same order will help your body and mind settle into sleep mode

6. Get up regularly, even on weekends, this helps keep your body clock in a healthy rhythm

7. Only go to bed when you are sleepy. Relaxation exercises, a cup of tea, a good book or relaxing music can help

8. Don’t take a long nap in the afternoon, take a power nap instead – if necessary – of a maximum of ten minutes, otherwise you’ll “steal” the sleep pressure for the night

9. Exercise in the fresh air during the day.

According to Healthpally, sleep problems also arise when the hormone adenosine is not released enough

You can stimulate adenosine production through exercise, for example a walk during your lunch break
