Haikyuu Season 5 Renewal, Release Date, Cast, Plot And Everything You Need To Know

“Haikyuu!!,” which has been around since 2014, is a well-liked sports anime with beautifully animated and long-drawn-out volleyball matches, shonen-style plots, and deep, interesting characters. When Shy Hinata is in middle school, he watches Karasuno High play volleyball on TV and becomes interested in the sport. However, no one else at his school is interested in volleyball. By the end of middle school, he had talked some of his friends into joining a team with him so they could compete in a tournament. But Tobio Kageyama, who is known as “The King of the Court,” and his team beat them badly, even though Hinata, who has red hair, has a great vertical jump.

Hinata works hard and gets into Karasuno High. When he joins the volleyball team, he finds out that Kageyama, his new rival, is also on the team. The school’s volleyball team is being rebuilt, and even though these two new players don’t like each other at first, they have a great quick-strike combo that could bring the spotlight back to their team. During the four seasons of the show, school rivalries grow, more players are added, training camps are attended, and the teams compete in games that test their skills and their relationships with each other, bringing out the kind of emotions that are only exciting sports moments can.

Now that the long-awaited fourth season is over, fans want to hear about the fifth season. So far, here’s what we know.

Haikyuu Season 5 Release Date :

The first three seasons of “Haikyuu!! ” came out on time in 2014, 2015, and 2016. Then there was a long break between the third and fourth seasons, and according to Crunchyroll, the fourth season wasn’t even announced until late 2018. It ran in two parts, or “courses,” from January to April 2020 and then from October to December 2020. Since the last episode of Season 4 aired on Crunchyroll a few months ago, Production I.G. hasn’t said anything about whether or not there will be a Season 5.

But after the last episode aired on Crunchyroll in December, the English-language Haikyu!! Twitter account thanked the “anime team” for their hard work and said, “Looking forward to the continuation!” This seems to show that it thinks there will be a fifth season at some point. It’s hard to say when this might happen, though, and the long break between the third and fourth seasons makes fans worry that there will be another delay before Season 5 news is made official. Monsters & Critics said that experts thought the previous delay was caused by things that happened inside the studio, such as waiting for key staff members to finish other projects.

From the fact that Season 4 will start airing in January 2020 and that it was renewed in December 2018, we can assume that “Haikyuu!” has a one-year production cycle. This means that whenever Season 5 is announced, the show will probably come back 12 to 13 months later (possibly in a split-cour format again). That’s probably not the best news for fans, but at least the anime theme song was played during the volleyball event at the Tokyo Olympics. The property is still useful.

Delays Expected

Season 4 ended in December 2020, so there has been no official word on the fifth season for more than a year. There have been many delays between seasons of Haikyuu!! in the past, like the four-year wait between the third and fourth seasons and the delay of season 4 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Since the show has always been late, it shouldn’t be a surprise that season 5 will be the same, especially since the end of season 4 was more than a year ago. At the moment, there is no news about when season 5 will be out.

This doesn’t mean there won’t be a fifth season, though. The anime’s Twitter page did say that they were “looking forward to the continuation,” which means that season 5 is definitely coming soon. COVID-19 has been named as the reason for the delay of the fifth season.

What will the plot be for Haikyuu Season 5?

“Haikyuu!!” is based on Haruichi Furudate’s manga series, which ended with Chapter 402 and Volume 45 in 2020. (the English translation is a few volumes behind). Chapter 292 brought the fourth season to a happy and sad end, so there are still a lot of stories to tell.

According to the manga, in Season 5, the members of the team will take part in the Nekoma vs. Karasuno match at the garbage dump. They will also take part in a lot of other matches, some of which will have high stakes. Basically, there is a lot of beautifully drawn volleyball on the way. Hinata will even get to meet “the Little Giant,” the player who started it all for him.

Fans may be in for a big surprise if the anime series follows the manga all the way to the end in Season 6 and maybe even a Season 7. The manga jumps around in time and place and even focuses on a related but different sport.
