7 Steps to Get You Guest Posting: The Ultimate Guide for Newbies.

7

Writing a guest blog post is one of the best ways to build your personal brand. Guest posting is also a great way to get traffic and build your email list. However, it can be difficult to know where to start when it comes to article writing. That’s why I’m sharing this 7-step guide for how you can write a successful guest blog post that will help you reach your goals.

Step 1: Determine What You Want To Write About

The first step in writing any article is determining what you want to write about. Determining what you want to write about can be tricky if you’re not sure of what topics are a good fit for your audience and brand. Take into account some of these things when deciding what topic or niche would be the best fit for your blog:

-Is there anything unique about the topic?

-Would this topic allow me to showcase my expertise?

-Are there as many competitors as there are readers?

-Is.

Step 1: Determine What You Want To Write About

-Is there anything unique about the topic?

-Would this topic allow me to showcase my expertise?

-Are there as many competitors as there are readers?

-Is the topic timely or a hot button issue that would make it easy for you to attract an audience?

-How well does the article fit with your brand as a business, personal brand, or both?

Step 2: Find Your Target Audience and Market Yourself To It

Once you’ve determined what type of article you want to write, you need to find your target audience. The easiest way to do this is by targeting a specific niche. If you’re new to guest blogging and don’t know who some of the top blogs in your niche are, just Google the name of your blog’s niche and “top blogs” or “top sites”. You can also use BuzzSumo or Similar Web. Once you’ve found some popular blogs in your niche, then it’s time to start reaching out to them via email. Make sure that your email is professional and concise and not too long. Keep your introduction brief and state why you would be an ideal guest blogger for their site. Give them a quick overview of what kind of content they should expect from you so that they know if it’s something that will fit into their content strategy. Here’s an example:

Hi [Blog Name]! I saw on BuzzSumo that you publish articles on [topic]. I am writing this

Step 2: Research Your Topic

Now that you have an idea of what your topic is, it’s time to start doing some research. You can use one or all of these methods when doing research:

-Go to Google and search for the topic

-Check out what others are saying about your topic on social media

-Search YouTube for videos related to your topic

-Browse through other people’s blog posts on a similar subject

-Scope out the competition using a tool like BuzzSumo

Step 3: Prepare And Edit Your Post

The next step is preparing and editing your post. There are a few ways you can take care of this, but some of the most popular include:

-Writing your post in advance for later publication

-Editing content after publishing it

-Checking for spelling mistakes or grammatical errors

-Checking for any plagiarism (make sure to find reputable sources!)

Step 4: Submit Your Post

To Submitting Sites

Once you’ve determined a potential blog post or article, it’s time to start writing! But how do you go about submitting your articles? There are many different places you can submit your guest posts and blog posts. Some places that I like to submit my articles include:

-Medium

-The Huffington Post

-Gather Your Own

-The Atlantic

Step 2: Draft Your Article & Get Feedback

After choosing the topic of your article and determining where it should be submitted, you can then write and draft the article. One of the most important aspects of drafting an article is getting feedback from fellow content creators, industry experts, and friends. Ask them what they think is working in your article and what could be improved. Take their advice into consideration as you improve upon the draft of your article. This step will help build up your confidence in yourself as a writer, which will ultimately make writing easier!

Step 5: Follow Up With The Editor

The final step of the article writing process is following up with the editor of your guest post. It’s important to follow up with them after publishing your article in order to make sure you’ve delivered what they need from you and that they’re satisfied with your work. This will also help you build trust with the editor and forge a stronger relationship for future articles.

In conclusion, writing any sort of article is an excellent way to build your personal brand and establish credibility within a niche market. If you’re looking to write a good blog post, consider these 7 steps I’ve outlined for how you can do it successfully.

Step 6: Analyze The Success of Your Post

A great way to determine whether or not your post was successful is by looking at the analytics. Check out your website’s analytics to see how many people are visiting, what they’re using to find you, and which articles are keeping people on your site. I also recommend checking out some of the comments that people have left on your blog. If you notice a spike in traffic or in comments after a certain time period, that’s a good sign that the article was successful.

Step 2: Research Your Topic

The next step is to research your topic. To do this, it may be a good idea to search for related keywords on Google or use an online resource like Quora or Reddit. Start with broad phrases like “how do I write a decent guest post?” and then narrow down those inquiries into specific topics.

Step 3: Write The Post

Now it’s time to write your post! Remember, the most important part of writing an article is having a clear purpose for it and making sure that you explain all of the points in one sentence at the top of your article (so there’s no confusion). Keep these tips in mind when writing:

-Write about something new

-Use vivid language

-Be personal

-Create value for your audience

-Connect with them emotionally

-Leave them with actionable advice

Step 7: Build On Your Success.

Once you’ve written your guest post, it’s important to build on your success. You can do this by sharing the link through social media or email so that others can see your work.

Step 2: Research and Brainstorm

After you’ve decided what topic you want to write about, it’s time to start researching and brainstorming for content ideas. This is a crucial step in writing a successful article; it will help you think of good topics and write relevant content. Take some of these things into account when coming up with ideas for your blog:

-Find out which keywords people search for related to the topic

-What other bloggers have done recently in this space?

-Who are the market leaders of this niche?

-What is trending right now?
